Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

🛡️ Short version: Number to Letter does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Numbers you type are never sent to our servers — all conversions happen locally in your browser.

1. Information We Collect

Number to Letter is designed to work without collecting personal information. Specifically:

  • Numbers you type are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.
  • Language preference is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) and is never sent externally.
  • Theme preference (light/dark mode) is stored locally in your browser only.

If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message solely to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we receive only to:

  • Respond to contact form submissions and support requests.
  • Improve the tool based on aggregated, anonymous usage analytics (see section 4).
  • Maintain and operate the website.

We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is stated above.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to remember your language and theme preferences. This data:

  • Never leaves your device.
  • Is not accessible to us or any third party.
  • Can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Third-party analytics services (see below) may set their own cookies. You can control or disable these through your browser's cookie settings.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services to help us understand how the site is used:

  • Google Analytics — collects anonymized data such as page views, device type, and country. No personal identifiers are collected. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Google AdSense — may display ads and use cookies to serve relevant advertising. You can manage ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.

These third parties have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle. Our site is served over HTTPS. Contact form data is transmitted securely.

However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability (where applicable under GDPR).

Since we collect minimal personal data, most of these rights apply primarily to contact form submissions. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.

7. Children's Privacy

Number to Letter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
