How It Works
Number to Letter runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you type a number, our conversion engine instantly calculates the correct textual representation in your chosen language. There is no server-side processing — your data never leaves your device.
The conversion engine handles integers from −999,999,999,999 to +999,999,999,999, including correct handling of:
- Negative numbers (e.g., "negative one hundred" in English)
- Large values with correct grouping (billions, millions, thousands)
- Language-specific grammatical forms (dual forms in Arabic, gendered words in Slavic languages, etc.)
- Special number words (e.g., "eleven", "twelve" in English; "once", "doce" in Spanish)
Privacy First
We take your privacy seriously. Number to Letter does not collect personal data, does not require an account, and does not track individual users. The only data stored locally is your theme preference (light or dark mode), which is saved in your browser's localStorage. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.
